What if my jaw makes a clicking sound, do I need to get treatment?

Approximately 30% of the population has jaw clicking but no problem with function and no pain. In that case you do not require treatment. If you have a click and your jaw muscles or joints are painful or perhaps you cannot chew properly, then you might benefit from treatment.

I get temple headaches that seem to get worse when I have jaw pain. Is this normal?

Some headaches can be related to jaw dysfunction. It would be helpful to talk to a physiotherapist that has special knowledge about the jaw to see if that can be improved.
